Why us? Why now?
We know that British Columbians have choices to make when deciding to give to cancer. We believe that every dollar given to help fight cancer is important.Donations made to the BC Cancer Foundation, however, are unique. The money we raise goes directly to the BC Cancer Agency. The BC Cancer Agency provides the only province-wide, population-based cancer control program for the residents of British Columbia and the Yukon. The BC Cancer Agency's mandate covers the spectrum of cancer care from prevention and screening to diagnosis and treatment and through to rehabilitation and end of life care.
The BC Cancer Agency's mandate is driven by a three-fold mission:
- to reduce the incidence of cancer
- to reduce the mortality rate of people with cancer
- to improve the quality of life of people living with cancer

The money you donate stays right here in B.C. to help all British Columbians. And if you wish, your donation can be directed to specific needs or specific regions in the province.
