Sometimes it takes a leader to recognize it in others. Winslow Bennett, a retired mining and financial entrepreneur, sees leadership abilities in the scientists and researchers at the BC Cancer Agency. Winslow has served on the board of trustees of the BC Cancer Agency and was also a president of the BC Cancer Foundation board. He has donated to the Foundation for many years. And like other donors, Winslow and his wife, Betsy, were inspired to give a gift to the Foundation's Millennium Campaign, to help build the BC Cancer Agency's Research Centre. Their gift of shares amounting to $100,000 helped kick-start the campaign and inspired others to review their stock portfolios and consider making a gift of shares to the BC Cancer Foundation.
